Hayden's 1st Christmas!

Christmas has now come and gone, and Hayden had quite a time taking in the spirit of the season. He traveled all over the metro area in the last few days spending time with many family members who were all very anxious to see him. Hayden did very well despite all the travel, long hours and handling between relatives. He was able to stay awake for much more of the time than expected and seemed to be enjoying himself immensely.

The holiday wasn't complete without a few emergency changes however, with the only casualty being Uncle Adam's jeans, which sustained minor soilage after an unexpected diaper malfunction.

Hayden received many great gifts including books, stuffed animals, play toys, diapers, and blankets as well as lots of other things he'll be able to appreciate soon.

Picture Perfect

Here's a shot of a calm, contemplative Hayden relaxing after a satisfying meal of formula looking quite dapper in his Polo onesie.

This shot was the result of a 10 minute "photo session" with the hopes of getting a nice picture to give out at Christmas. This was the one and only time he looked at the camera. Fortunately, with a few adjustments in Photoshop, it came out looking quite nice.

Hayden's been making a lot of progress using his new and developing muscles lately, and we've been amazed at the strength contained in such a little guy. He's been consistently holding his head up on his own strength and using his legs to stand straight up...with some help balancing.

I've got plenty to be thankful for!

Hayden celebrated his first Thanksgiving and had a chance to see a lot of the family while making three stops around the metro area on Thursday. He was looking quite festive wearing his 1st Thanksgiving outfit. Unfortunately, it only made it through the first two stops before some unsettling in the stomach made a wardrobe change necessary.

First bath

Hayden's first bath at home was not very enjoyable for him, hopefully he'll become more comfortable getting wet from now on. Here's a pic of the little guy as he was drying off. You can see he's a bit tramitized by the whole experience.

Home Sweet Home

After a five day stay at the hospital, Hayden arrived home for the first time. It was exciting and a bit frightening to have a whole new life here in the house. Despite our lack of sleep, we're truly enjoying being parents and feeling blessed to have such a healthy and beautiful son to share our lives with!

Arriving at 10:33 a.m. on November the 12th,
three weeks prior to his scheduled delivery date,
Hayden James Terres came into the world at 4 lbs. 15 oz.
